Ear Acupuncture

Ear Acupuncture or Auricular Therapy is the best known microsystem of acupuncture. It belongs to the famous French School of Acupuncture and has been invented by the French physician Raphael Nogier from Lyon. It requires special training and experience, since the whole human body is believed to be represented in the outer ear. Another such microsystem is Korean Hand Acupuncture.

Two distinct schools of Ear Acupuncture, French and Chinese, have distinct charts of ear acupuncture points. The claimed success of both can only raise skepticism. Ear Acupuncture is performed with either classical body needles or special semi-permanent ear needles.
